Prewar roofs fail in their own ways: board decks, slate, built-in gutters, stone chimneys. We built the business around them.
Why focus only on roofs for older houses?
Because the problems repeat. Houses built before 1940 share board decks, slate or earlier roofing layers, masonry chimneys and complex flashing, and many sit under historic review. Working only on them means our estimates anticipate those conditions instead of discovering them halfway through a tear-off.
How we work
- Requests by form, replies by email, estimates itemized and in writing.
- Free inspection; nothing sold at the door.
- Asphalt shingles from major manufacturers such as GAF, chosen to suit the house.
- Asphalt shingle roof replacements, including slate-to-asphalt conversions, come with a 15-year workmanship warranty.
- Financing is available, including a 12-month no-interest option. Subject to credit approval. Terms vary; ask for details.
- Emergency tarping within 24 hours after storm damage.
- Office hours Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
What we don't do
We don't fix or lay slate, and we don't handle insurance claims for you. When a job needs a slate specialist we say so and point you to one. You won't find ratings, badges or customer quotes here: we would rather you judge us on the written estimate.

Tell us where the house is, how old the roof is and what it is doing. If you have photos, say so and we will ask for them by email. Outside our core area? Send the form and ask.
We answer form requests Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. There is no phone line, so the whole conversation stays in writing.
